Annual WATeR Shore Cleanup

Saturday, March 19, 9am-11am

Every year one Saturday is selected to have local clubs and neighborhoods make a major effort to clean-up the areas around our beautiful Tellico Lake. Members of the kayak club will meet around 9:00 am in the morning and will pick-up trash around the Morganton Branch of the East Lakeshore Trail. The clean-up will last about two hours. If you are interested in helping, please let me know so I can have gloves and tongs available for you to use. I'll send out more details on the event as they become available.

Equipment Swap & Demo

Saturday, May 7, 2016

Our next activity will not be a paddle but will be an opportunity to buy, sell or exchange your kayak or kayak equipment. On Saturday May 7 at noon, we have arranged for River Sports to bring a fleet of their kayaks and paddle boards to the Clear Creek Boat Ramp so members of our club and other residents of TV can test and evaluate new toys for their water pleasure. At our annual meeting, club members wanted to use this opportunity to sell or swap kayak equipment that they are no longer using. So bring any water equipment you wish to sell or trade to the demo and maybe you will be able to find a new owner. We will be at Clear Creek from noon to 3:00 pm. If you have friends or neighbors who have always wanted to try kayaking but never have had the opportunity, this will be a perfect time for them to test the waters. Bring them along so they can experience the fun and enjoyment of kayaking.
